What clays do you use and what temperature are they fired to?

I use either a porcelain or a range of stoneware clays and usually fire to around 1,280 degrees celcius to ensure the pieces are vitrified and food safe where required.

What types of glazes do you use?

If a piece is to be used for functional purposes then it will be decorated using either a non-toxic, waterproof glaze which is food safe or Liquid Quartz, a non-toxic, food-safe, water based, permeating sealer that is waterproof and highly stain resistant.

What is Liquid Quartz?

The first unglazed ceramic sealer of its kind, Liquid Quartz is a non-toxic, food-safe, water based, permeating sealer that turns unglazed ware into waterproof and highly stain resistant functional tableware.  Liquid Quartz can be applied to unglazed ceramic ware to create a completely invisible, long lasting, breathable (yet water impermeable) protective barrier.

How long does Liquid Quartz last?

Liquid Quartz has been in use on plates in commercial restaurants since 2014. These plates are still in use and continue to be waterproof and functional today.

How long will it take for my order to ship?
If items are in stock and full payment has been received, items to be sent within Australia will usually ship within 2-5 business days.

Your website says out of stock and I would really love to buy something I have my eye on - when will more be available?

Each piece in my range is hand made, hand glazed and takes many hours of firing and cooling in the kiln.  If I don’t have what you are after in stock you can send me a message by using the contact form and I will let you know when I expect to have more available.  It usually takes approximately 3 - 4 weeks for items to be ready for shipping from the date you order.  If you require something earlier than that, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
